![]() I had to walk away for a few minutes before I hit "post". *Edit, I see you already solved the problem. If you do get a good reading and there still is no movement and your screwdriver isn't attracted to the coil when pressing the button, then there is probably a short somewhere, possibly the suppression diode that is across the coil contacts. If you get a very low reading or 0v, the circuit either isn't getting power or something is open (perhaps within the coil). You should get a reading of something like 12v or so (really depends on your player). If you still can't get it to actuate by hitting the button or shorting the sensor, pull out a voltmeter and take a reading across the button without pressing it. Perhaps the solenoid needs to be disassembled and cleaned (that is if your player uses a plunger type). A little oil, lithium grease or other similar lubricant on the cam, levers, shaft the head slides on should get things loosened up. If you don't hear anything, open it up and try moving the parts manually and see if that clears things up. Do you hear it make any noise when the program button is pressed (a click, tick or something). A stuck solenoid, cam, lever or other mechanical part involved in moving the head is likely stuck.
